I have been fortunate to travel to far off lands since my early 20’s.  It started with camping around Europe, then traveling extensively in Indonesia, Malaysia and other parts of Southeast Asia with friends who were in the Peace Corps. There were more trips to France, Italy, Ireland, Kenya, Argentina, and China, some for education and service, some to explore family ties.

If you were looking for an avatar to embody that rare and angelic constancy of commitment to all things healthy, wholesome and aesthetic, you might find no better example than Jody. The Master of Divinity from her theological training is high on life, drawing upon a store of enthusiasm that people half her age would struggle to muster.

I have always been a seeker, with an abiding interest in Vedic culture. I was initiated into Transcendental Meditation in 1969, while in graduate school. During my doctoral qualifying exam, I was asked what I would do once I finished my degree. Speaking from my heart, not filtered by my more rational and pragmatic intellect, I voiced my dreams for the future… “I will work for five years, save as much as I can and move to Dal Lake in Kashmir, India, and start an import/export business.”
